Privacy

HedgieTools is designed to know nothing about you. Here is exactly what happens to your files and your data, without jargon.Last updated: October 13, 2026

In short

  • Your files never leave your device. Everything is processed in your browser.
  • No account, no ads, no tracking cookie. The newsletter is optional.
  • Anonymous audience measurement, cookie-free, to know which tools are used.
  • Your preferences stay with you, in your browser. You can erase them whenever you want.

Your files and your text

Everything you drop or type into a tool (videos, photos, PDFs, texts, passwords…) is processed directly in your browser, with the power of your device. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is kept: when you close the page, it all disappears.

You can check it yourself: open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, and use a tool. None of your files appears there.

Audience measurement

To know which pages and tools are used, HedgieTools uses Vercel Web Analytics. This measurement sets no cookie and cannot identify you or follow you from one site to another.

What is measured
The page visited, the site you come from, your approximate location (country, region and city), your device type, your browser and your system
What never is
Your name, your e-mail, your files, what you type into the tools
Duration
Visits are counted in aggregate; no profile is built

It is only active on the live site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site, with a measurement exempt from consent because it is anonymous and cookie-free.

Hosting and technical logs

Like any website, HedgieTools is served by a host, Vercel. To send you the pages and protect the site against abuse, Vercel processes technical connection data, such as your IP address and your browser. The logs we can access are kept for 24 hours at most, then deleted automatically.

These logs never contain your files, and we do not use them to identify you.

What is stored in your browser

HedgieTools sets no cookie. The only exception: if you start filling in the newsletter form, Google reCAPTCHA may set a technical security cookie. Besides that, a few preferences are saved in your browser's local storage, so the site remembers them on your next visit. They are never sent anywhere.

Theme
Light, dark or automatic
Catalog sort
The order in which tools are listed, on the home page and on the favorites page
Favorites

A “You are offline” page is kept in your browser's cache, so it can be shown if a page cannot be loaded

To erase everything, clear the site's data in your browser settings.

Contact and suggestion forms

The “Contact”, “Suggest a tool” and “Report a bug” buttons open a form hosted by Tally, a Belgian company (Tally BV) whose data is stored in Europe. This is the only place where you send us information, and only what you choose to write.

Your e-mail is optional in the suggestion and bug forms: leave it only if you want a reply. The contact form asks for it, so that we can answer. Your messages are used only to reply to you and to improve HedgieTools, and are deleted no later than 12 months after they are handled.

Newsletter

If you wish, you can receive HedgieTools news by e-mail: new tools and improvements. Signing up is optional and changes nothing about how you use the site.

Data collected
Your e-mail address, nothing else
Provider
Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), a French company; data hosted in the European Union
Purpose
Sending you HedgieTools news, nothing else. Your address is never sold or shared.
Legal basis
Your consent, confirmed by a validation e-mail (double opt-in)
Duration
Until you unsubscribe. An address that is never confirmed is deleted automatically.
Anti-robot check
Google reCAPTCHA (invisible), required by Brevo. It is only loaded when you start filling in the form, never before.

To unsubscribe, click the link at the bottom of every e-mail, or write to us at contact@joazco.com. Your address is only sent to Brevo when you click “Subscribe”. No Brevo script is loaded on the site; only Google's anti-robot check is, and only if you use the form.

Some links lead to other sites (for example ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Mistral from the prompt generator, or our social networks). Once on those sites, their own privacy rules apply.

Controller and your rights

Data controller
JOAZCO, SARL, 38 Lotissement Les Oliviers, 13120 Gardanne, France

Under the GDPR, you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to its processing or limit its use. Write to us at contact@joazco.com: we answer within one month.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr (opens in a new tab)).

Transfers outside the European Union

Vercel and Google are American companies. The technical data they process (Vercel's logs, Google's reCAPTCHA check) may be transferred to the United States, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, to which both companies are certified, or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Changes

If the way we process data changes (for example with the arrival of mobile apps), this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
