About photo metadata

Every photo carries a hidden label: where it was taken, with which phone, when, and sometimes by whom. This tool shows it, then removes it without touching the picture.

What your photos say about you

A photo taken with a phone often records the exact place where it was taken, the phone model and the time to the second. An edited image sometimes keeps the name of its author and the software used. This information travels with the file when you send it.

Remove it without damaging the photo

The tool only removes the hidden information: the image is not recompressed, so the quality stays identical. The orientation of the photo can be kept so it does not show up lying on its side.

Supported formats

JPEG, PNG and WebP. HEIC photos from an iPhone are not supported: share them as JPEG first, or set the iPhone camera to “Most Compatible”.

Nothing is uploaded

Your photos are read and cleaned in your browser. They are neither uploaded nor saved.
